S-Group
03:21
|
|||
Mega sized food, super soft paper
always on discount so you can buy them later
Extra small speakers, portable media
they don’t want you to feel it at all
Supporters of the welfare state
alcohol for sale on every Sunday
Interested of the underclass
trading meal tickets for a whisky glass
S-Group killed my mother
wait a second and they kill yours too
S-Group killed my father
wait too long and they bury you
They don’t shy away from sin
because you buy and it’s their win
And don’t you run away from them
the other is waiting and it wants your skin
Company bosses faces are grinning
but hey at least someone is winning
Election funding, bribes, retirement pension
and remember they don’t care at all
S-Group killed my mother
wait a second and they kill yours too
S-Group killed my father
wait too long and they bury you
They don’t shy away from sin
because you buy and it’s their win
And don’t you run away from them
the other is waiting and it wants your skin

One Chair
03:34
|
|||
There is only one chair
and there is only one chair for me
And how do you know it’s for me
well there’s a sign it’s for the lonely
And how do I get past this
well take a stand and give me your baskets
half of love and half of all that’s past this
Come on take me with you
and teach me how to do
Come on take me with you
and teach me how to do
Your sweet sweet love
like a drug for me and you
Your sweet sweet love
too hard for me and you
So now we’re happy together
but there’s one thing you could do
just try to be your own self
and try to see what’s in your shelf
If there’s only shadows
from the bad past
Bury them up with new ones
so you don’t have to be all by yourself
There is only one chair
and there is only one chair for me
And how do you know it’s for me
(and how do you know it’s for me)
Now there’s a sign it’s for me only

Shelter Medicine
02:26
|
|||
It takes a lot medicine to keep up, up this pace
I haven’t slept, I haven’t slept in eight whole days
Two of them were quite dark I could hear the hound dogs bark
Three days I tried to find my medicine all I got was two bottles of gin
One day went by shakin’ and smokin’ I didn’t do a lot talking
And yesterday I had to work, oh god did it hurt
It did hurt
Someone whispered to my ear
Shelter, it is near
Tonight I’m sitting here all alone thinking
Thinking what should I do, I don’t want to sleep at all
I woke up early in the morning had this crazy dream last night
I was at home all alone drinking my favourite alcohol
Heard some noise coming outside hound dogs barking in the night
Then I realized, this is not a dream at all
This is not a dream at all
Someone whispered to my ear
Shelter, it is here

Red Striped Hat
04:05
|
|||
I don’t know but I’ve been told, redheaded women ain’t got no soul
Well I wanted to know why is that and someone gave me a red striped hat
He said he wanted the hat back tomorrow but keep in mind it’s just for borrow
And everyone who’s ever had that hat has hesitated to give it back
Redheaded woman came talk to me and asked me about that hat
Well I didn’t know what to say so I just ran away
And those dark green eyes haunt me tonight
And these soft blue eyes stare at me at night
Nothing really here to see, black curtains and a white tree
Nothing really here to feel, just a shadow from the field
The man ringed the bell in the morning but I didn’t want to wake up
He was really anxious to see what the hat had brought to me
When I finally opened the door he stand there with a wedding bell
He wanted the hat right back and ringed the bell for me to look at
Now really isn’t a good time as I don’t know where the hat is at
The green-eyed lady that must be it, I said to him
He wasn’t happy to hear my story and left my door with a hurry
And those dark green eyes haunt me tonight
And these soft blue eyes stare at me at night
Nothing really here to see, black curtains and a white tree
Nothing really here to feel, just a shadow from the field
Well I wanted to know and now I’ve seen redheaded woman with the eyes of green
I do not know where she is at but I do know she’s not coming back

When The Deal Goes Down
01:59
|
|||
I woke up early one morning I was feeling half past dead
Sun was shining to my eye and I just laid my head
I looked at the time from the radio it was already noon
I checked my phone, was amazed, there were ten messages
And they all said the same, hey boy you better watch out or you’re gonna be dead someday
Hey boy you better watch out, some day soon
What the hell I thought to myself but then I remembered
I made a deal and I got the money too, for you
You better watch out when you want for money ‘cos it ain’t always good
I don’t wanna live my life for nothing I wanna help my friends too
But now and then the devil takes over me and he does bad things to you

Early Special
02:51
|
|||
I met a girl who cures all illness
She knows no hatred but only wellness
She does no one wrong for she knows no sin
She helps to find me for she knows where I’ve been
This woman goes by many names
But her most renowned is Mary Jane
I let her in and she won’t complain
She fills me up and relieves my pain
So if you want to feel like me
Just let her in and you will see
She’ll take your guilt and she’ll take your sorrow
And you will awake for a better tomorrow
This woman goes by many names
But her most renowned is Mary Jane
I let her in and she won’t complain
She fills me up and relieves my pain

Funhouse
03:23
|
|||
It’s a funhouse
It’s a playground
But I am bored
I am ignored
A B C one two three
I know that you can’t teach me
I want to see I want to be
D E F ‘cos I can feel
Spirit left me
Funhouse fed me
Music shed me
Funhouse kept me
It’s all right it’s the funhouse babe
I ain’t all right I’m gonna freak out mama
Fixing to die for
Fixing to fight for
Nothing to live for
Nothing to give for
Will she feed me
Will she keep me
When I am down
Down to the ground
Spirit left me
Funhouse fed me
Music shed me
Funhouse kept me
It’s all right it’s the funhouse babe
I ain’t all right I’m gonna freak out mama

The Escape
05:40
|
|||
I feel mad every night
That is why I can’t decide
I’m lost and you know where
The man holds me here
Should he travel to the night with only cufflinks by his side
Should he leave this awful place, head to freedom it’s not too late
Is it the art of thinking
To know where you are going
Outside this box
To the night with only cufflinks by my side
Now he runs through the gates, guards try to follow but it’s too late
Now he travels in the night with a sight of freedom in his eyes
Yes I’m a sinner but that ain’t all
I was a lawyer to help them all
But now I’m free and I’m going to chance
Maybe I’ll buy a boat and sail away
